📣🚨 Action Alert | CES 2021 Is Continuing to Honor Its Diversity Commitment After Mounting Pressures Began In 2017
If you’re relatively new to GenderAvenger, you may not know that in late 2017 we called out what is considered the largest trade show in any industry, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). We chastised them for the fact that all of their keynote speakers were men, and they were not pleased with us. Since then, they’ve made a commitment to diversity and have honored that commitment more and more each year.
The Keynote and Featured Speaker lineups for the 2021 show, which is being held virtually from January 11–14, have been released, and they are fantastic!
In a recent discussion about CES, GenderAvenger founder Gina Glantz said, “Once we all create change, there’s no going back. There should only be an improvement as people make a commitment to diversity as part of their culture.” CES has certainly set an industry example of this, and GenderAvenger is proud of the role we played in making that change take place.
Excellent work, CES!
Due to mounting pressure, @CES has set an industry example of making a commitment to diversity since 2018, and @GenderAvenger is proud to have played a part. #GenderAvenger #CES2021 https://www.genderavenger.com/blog/ces-2021-honors-its-commitment-to-diversity
