Gender balance is necessary, urgent, and above all, entirely possible. With the GA Stamp of Approval, we celebrate the organizations that prove equality isn’t a far-off goal and demonstrate a commitment to inclusion on the stage. We love it when an organization prioritizing gender equality at their conference or event! Help us shine a spotlight on their good work and encourage others to do the same by submitting them for a GA Stamp of Approval!
Criteria for a GA Stamp of Approval
Gold GA Stamp of Approval:
25% women of color overall; 50% women total
Silver GA Stamp of Approval:
20% women of color overall; 50% women total
Bronze GA Stamp of Approval:
15% women of color overall; 50% women total
* GenderAvenger affirms that trans women are women.
How does the GA Stamp of Approval work?
The process is simple. Two weeks prior to the event date, we review the speaker roster. If it meets our criteria above, success! The organizers receive an official GA Stamp of Approval to proudly showcase their commitment to inclusion online.
Keep in mind, the GA Stamp only applies to that particular event in that specific year, not the organization as a whole. Why? Equality is a habit, and our hope is that receiving the GA Stamp once will serve as an incentive to keep getting it right.
