Avengers of the Week | Keep it up, y’all!

We are anti-manel, but we’re not celebrating all-women panels either. At GenderAvenger, we want a balanced discussion that displays an apparent effort on the part of the organizers to bring a range of experiences and perspectives to a conversation.

We need to expand our appreciation and understanding of what makes an individual a subject matter expert. We need visual diversity, as well as a diversity of experience. This means that lived experiences sometimes outweigh research. This point comes across so clearly in this thread on Twitter by Daniel (@eikonos):
