Great News: A GA Stamp of Approval Goes Out to the Carnegie Foundation Summit on Improvement in Education

We are so happy to have good news for your inbox this week!

The Carnegie Foundation Summit on Improvement in Education, originally scheduled to begin April 1st as an in-person conference, will now be held virtually, and we’re so glad they didn’t just cancel, because check out the focus of the 2020 conference:

The 2020 Summit will prioritize equity in improvement work, with a focus on elevating underrepresented voices. We are committed to increasing the racial diversity of the Summit community. It is only by leveraging diverse perspectives that the improvement community will be able to forge effective solutions for the education system’s most persistent problems.

They definitely get an A+ for executing this idea, because the speaker list — it’s 33% men and 68% women, 31% of whom are women of color — earns them a Bronze GA Stamp of Approval! Congratulations for setting the example and ensuring that diverse perspectives will indeed be shared.

🥉 Some good news to share! @CarnegieFdn’s #CarnegieSummit2020 earns a Bronze @GenderAvenger Stamp of Approval for assembling a speaker list that ensures diverse perspectives will be shared. #GenderAvenger https://www.genderavenger.com/blog/stamp-of-approval-carnegie-summit-on-improvement-in-education
