Coaching remains a profession dominated by men, not just in Rochester, but nationally. More than 40 years after the passage of Title IX, men are more likely than women to coach women's teams across all divisions of college sports, according to a recent report from The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport at the University of Central Florida. And women coaching men's teams? Put it this way: Of the 772 head coaches of college men's tennis last year, just 41 were women, NCAA records show. And most were in Division III.
