Founded in 2005 by Jane Fonda, Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem, the Women’s Media Center’s mission is to help give women visibility and power within the media. The WMC is engaged with the media at every level to help work towards diversifying and increasing the number of women present in newsrooms, on air, in print, online, in the entertainment industry, and in theater–and featuring them as sources and subjects, in bylines and credits, and in the field or in the office.
