It will still be some time before things get back to normal, if they ever do. The immediate future of conferences, in-person meetings, and other gatherings is uncertain, and, as these events move online, virtual event organizers should take note. GenderAvengers everywhere are slowly starting to peek from behind their social distancing curtains to call out the gender inequality that is still happening in webinars, virtual conferences, and everything in between.

Now is the time for event organizers to make things right and create a new normal for women by providing the opportunity to be heard. For generations, women’s voices have been silenced or quieted by manels and men dominating the public dialog.
