Lawmakers must act now to protect both the health and economic well-being of workers, especially women. Typical gender roles leave women at a disproportionate risk during this crisis, exasperating existing economic, medical and social gender gaps.

Women’s roles in the workforce place them at a greater risk of contracting the virus.
