📣🚨 ACT NOW | ExO World Digital Summit: Where Are the Women?
Never mind the fact that ExO World Digital Summit (April 14–16, 2020) is using the COVID-19 pandemic as an “opportunity” to host a less expensive conference, this conference claims that it brings together “leading thinkers of our time to discuss our global situation, how we transform it, and how to thrive in the decades ahead” but doesn’t have enough women speaking for truly meaningful discussion. 78% of the speakers are men, leaving only 22% women. On the bright side, 67% of those women are women of color, so they have that going for them. Invitees are asked to attend if they want to become part of the proverbial “dream team” (for what, we’re not sure), but clearly the dream is just a dream if you’re a woman.
Tell ExO and the world that equal representation matters:
📣🚨 Attendees of @OpenExO #ExOWorld are promised a spot on the proverbial dream team, but with a speaker list of 78% men and 22% women, this virtual event is more of a bad dream. #GenderAvenger https://www.genderavenger.com/blog/exo-world-digital-summit-2020
