#CodeMobile, Round 2: Re/code's 2 Year #HallofShame Streak Continues

Re/code's Code/Mobile conference starts on October 7, 2015.

This is Re/code's sixth and final event scheduled for this year. It is also their 11th Hall of Shame gender ratio in a row. In their two years of hosting events, Re/code has never had more than 25% women onstage.

We've been watching Code/Mobile for the past month, hoping that this would be the event that broke Re/code's Hall of Shame streak. Though we appreciate that there was progress (the first lineup featured only 11% women speakers, which quickly move to 18%), 24% women speakers just isn't good enough. Re/code has an incredible network of contacts, organizing expertise, and resources. There is no excuse for two full years of nearly all male speaker lineups at their events.

2015 is coming to an end---soon there will be a new slate of Re/code events. Tell Re/code that as they put together their next round of speaker lineups, it's time to make women speakers a priority.   

Show Re/code that we're paying attention and that it's time to make a change.
