Avenger of the Week | We Are All Avengers
At GenderAvenger, we believe in the power of community-supported individual action. In the past, we’ve used our Avenger of the Week honor to highlight notable persons dedicating their lives to gender equality. These contemporary and historic giants are great examples of the advocacy and activism that lives in each of us.
So in the spirit of GenderAvenger, we’re leveraging the Avenger of the Week to highlight those using social media to call out gender inequality in their communities.
Why?
Because it’s hard to speak up. The first step towards creating the changes we want to see is admitting there are problems, which requires brave folks to step up and speak out. Courageous acts lead to an overflow of brave actions. Brave actions lead to meaningful impact on policies and cultural norms.
