Action Alerts | Only 17% Women On New York Times Books Recommended List

Okay, can we just all agree that if you’re putting together any kind of book recommendation list, it’s necessary to include books written by men AND women? We’re looking at you New York Times Books. Your recent list of book recommendations includes only 17% women (50% of whom are women of color, but that’s only 1 out of the 2 women total). Are there really no other new books written by women that are worth recommending?
