📣🚨 Action Alert | Mostly Men Are Shaping the Future at youngStartup Venture’s Venture Summit

youngStartup Venture states that its summits “connect the most innovative, promising, venture-backed, emerging growth and early stage companies with active investors, investment bankers, advisors and corporate professionals.” The description goes on to say that “the summits feature insightful discussions, the newest technologies and latest trends currently shaping the future.”

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times: any conference having anything to do with shaping the future needs to feature women, and the speaker list for the upcoming youngStartup Venture’s Venture Summit Virtual Connect Global 21 (say that 10 times fast) does not. Only 25% of the people speaking at the summit are women, and only 10% of the speakers are women of color.

Both startups and the venture capital industry are notorious for poor gender balance, and we’re sorry to say that youngStartup Venture is following that norm.
