📣🚨 Action Alert | TechCrunch Disrupt is Going for the Gold

GenderAvenger has been following TechCrunch Disrupt for many years, so we’ve been able to witness the steady improvement in the gender balance of their speaker list. In 2014, only 12 of their 74 speakers were women. For the 2021 conference, there are 77 people on the speaker list, and 47 of them are women so far. That’s 61%! Even better? 25% of the speakers are women of color, which means the list meets the criteria for a Gold GA Stamp of Approval.

Since TechCrunch Disrupt 2021 doesn’t take place until September, it’s too early to actually award the Stamp, but you can bet we’ll be keeping track over the next few months to confirm that they stay on the road to gold.
