📣🚨 Action Alert | GenderAvenger Is Raising the Bar for Gender Balance In the Public Dialog

We’re raising the bar.

Women represent 51% of the overall population, and now the GA Tally app reflects that population ratio. We now expect women to comprise 50% of conversations in the public dialog to be considered gender equal, a rise from our original bar of 40%, no matter where the conversations take place, whether in speaker panels, best of lists, Zoom calls, etc. And we aren’t stopping there.

One in 5 people in the US is a woman of color, so we now expect that women of color make up 20% of the entire panel, list, etc. versus what we’ve done in the past, which was to calculate only the percentage of women who were women of color. This new way of calculating gender balance in public dialog raises the bar for inclusion of women and women of color, and we’re excited to lead this charge.
