Action Alert | George Washington U's Elliott School of International Affairs Institutes Panel Policy

George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs (@ElliottSchoolGW) recently announced a new policy in an effort to promote diversity and inclusion: “for any panel, symposium, or multi-speaker event (3 or more speakers) held at the Elliott School, there should be no single-gender discussion panels.” Dean of the school, Reuben Brigety, indicated that failure to follow this policy may result in the cancellation of an event.

We are thrilled with the strong stance Dean Brigety is taking and pleased that more universities are paying attention to the gender makeup of event speaker panels.
